TAMMY L. ORTMAN is a director with the Indianapolis law firm of Lewis & Kappes, P.C. After nearly twenty years of industry experience, her practice focus is in the areas of title insurance defense, commercial real estate transactions and construction litigation. She represents national underwriters for coverage matters as well as insured lenders and owners. Ms. Ortman earned her B.S. degree from Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana, and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Thomas Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the past Chair of the Title Insurance Litigation Committee; the Indiana State Bar Association, the American Land Title Association and the Indiana Land Title Association. She is a frequent speaker for continuing legal education seminars on real estate title related topics.
