Background

Adam Sworden is an associate in the education, municipal, real estate land use & zoning, and personal legal service practice groups. In his practice, he advises various boards, commissions, committees, businesses and individuals on matters such as employment, contracts, employment agreements, covenants not to compete, and personnel policies. Additionally, Adam provides counsel on infrastructure projects, land use, ordinances and policy development, statutory and regulatory compliance for various corporate and governmental entities. In addition to business and governmental entity representation, Adam also provides personal legal services in the areas of probate, estate planning, and commercial and residential landlord/tenant matters. Mr. Sworden also litigates in these areas and in other civil matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, in addition to representing clients in mediation for various business and personal disputes.

Mr. Sworden is also an American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) with the American Planning Association, and before pursuing a career in law, worked for various municipalities and for consulting firms focusing on development, redevelopment, comprehensive planning and economic development in the Chicago and Denver metropolitan areas, as well as the Aspen and Kansas City regions.
