Discrimination, harassment and wrongful discharge disputes
Employment contracts
Collective bargaining and labor relations Benefits and pensions

Internet and e-mail policies

Labor arbitration
Lewis & Kappes has handled labor and employment matters in a variety of contexts. We have successfully defended clients in proceedings prosecuted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on multiple occasions. We implemented a strategy to avoid liability on behalf of former officers of a company who wished to form a competing business, and when they were sued anyway we succeeded not only in defending the claim but in establishing that the lawsuit was brought in bad faith. We have enforced non-competition covenants, negotiated collective bargaining agreements and assisted employers in connection with efforts to resist labor organizing efforts.
