Practice Areas

Immigration and International Law
Mr. Marques is an Associate in the Immigration Group. In his Immigration Practice, he assists clients in the acquisition of family and employment based visas to enter the United States and in the resolution of general immigration issues such as Deportation and Removal Defense; Naturalization; Adjustment of Status; Family-based immigration; Employment-based immigration; Asylum; H-1B visas; Consular Processing; Waivers of Inadmissibility; Post-Conviction Relief; and Education Law. In 2007 Mr. Marques was appointed as an Economic Advisor to the Indianapolis Mayor's Commission on Latino Affairs under former Mayor Peterson. In 2008 he served as the Vice-Chair for the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals - Indianapolis-Marion County Division III. In 2009 he served the role as President of the Hispanic Law Society and was a student advisor to the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis Diversity Committee. He now serves as a member of the Board of Alumni for the Law School.

Mr. Marques graduated from Butler University with a degree of Bachelor of Science majoring in both Finance and Spanish. He was a four year varsity letter winner and four year starter for the Butler University Men's Soccer Team. He also earned an Honors Diploma in History - Nivel Superior - from La Universidad de Salamanca.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2010, Mr. Marques served as a Legislative Intern for the Indiana House of Representatives. He then served the Indiana Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs as an Economic Development Analyst. In 2008, he assumed the role as Business Advocacy Manager of the Hispanic Business Council for the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. He is a Licensed Insurance Producer and a Certified and Registered Mediator in the State of Indiana.
