Ammeen Joins Downtown Inc.'s Placemaking Committee
Lawyer is Interested in Urban Design and Planning
James J. Ammeen, an attorney with the Indianapolis-based law firm of Lewis & Kappes, has been asked to join the Placemaking Committee for the Regional Planning Commission 2020, part of Indianapolis Downtown, Inc.
The Placemaking Downtown Committee of the Regional Center Plan 2020 looks at downtown as a place that is composed of both natural and built environments. This includes the relationships between buildings, between districts, and between the past, present, and future. This committee focuses on achieving excellence in urban design, sustainability, and ecological responsibility. One final aspect of this committee is the identification and development of resources for the finance and implementation of plan recommendations.
The committee is chaired by Peggy Boehm, Executive Director, White River State Park, and Brian Payne, President of the Central Indiana Community Foundation.
