Steve Tuchman Named Chairman of Board of American Cabaret Theatre

Local Immigration Lawyer has been active in Local Arts Circles For Years

Steven L. Tuchman has been named Chairman of the Board of the American Cabaret Theatre.

Tuchman is a practicing attorney and President of local law firm Lewis & Kappes, specializing in immigration issues as well as representing clients in the sports, entertainment, real estate, and business fields. He has been active in the arts community for a number of years, having most recently completed a term as a Commissioner on the Indiana Arts Commission, appointed by Gov. Frank O'Bannon.

"I hope to engage ACT in a dialogue within its organization as well as the community at large," says Tuchman. "Our goal is to use the arts, especially original theatre, as an instrument of economic, social, cultural, and personal development."

The American Cabaret Theatre is unique in Indianapolis in that it produces original theatre. Additionally, ACT maintains five educational programs, serving 5000 statewide students; 20,000 Central Indiana students; 50 inner-city youth; and 26 Indianapolis Public School seventh-graders, as well as several interns from local colleges and universities.
