High Schoolers Get Taste of Legal Realities

Attorney Amanda Blystone explains "Legal Stuff You Should Know"

High school seniors at Ben Davis High School are about to get a taste of the real world, thanks to the Indiana Bar Association.A panel of local experts is set to give the soon-to-be-adults a sense of what's ahead.

Attorney Amanda Blystone of local law firm Lewis & Kappes will be discussing the kind of legal issues an 18-year old can expect to soon face. "I'll be talking about basic information that's pertinent to this age group. For instance, the legal in's and out's of renting your first apartment, the legal repercussions of drinking and driving, the legalities of marriage and divorce."

Blystone will be part of a panel called "Legal Stuff You Should Know," sponsored by the Indiana Bar Young Lawyers Division. Other panelists are to include a sheriff's deputy and the director of the Ben Davis night school program.
