David Klinestiver Elected President of the Indianapolis Civil War Round Table

David S. Klinestiver, a Director with Lewis & Kappes, has been elected President of the Indianapolis Civil War Round Table for that organization’s 2006-2007 campaign.

Founded in 1955, the Indianapolis Civil War Round Table is a 150-member, non-profit group dedicated to promoting a better understanding of the military, political and social history of the American Civil War era. The ICWRT meets on the second Monday of each month, September through June, for presentations by nationally recognized Civil War scholars as well as Round Table members. ICWRT meetings, which utilize both the Indiana History Center and the Indiana War Memorial as venues, are free and open to the public. Mr. Klinestiver has been a member of the Executive Board of the Indianapolis Civil War Round Table since 2004 and previously served as editor of the organization’s newsletter. In May 2007, he will present a program on photography during the Civil War and its role in historical interpretation.

David Klinestiver joined Lewis & Kappes in 2003. He is a graduate of Indiana University—Bloomington (B.A. Economics 1981; J.D. 1985) and practiced law in Louisville, Kentucky, for several years prior to returning to his hometown of Indianapolis in 1994. Mr. Klinestiver concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property, franchise law, and business organizations and transactions.
