ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (October 15, 2008) - Lewis & Kappes becomes the first downtown Indianapolis law firm to expand its Indiana presence to Boone County, delivering aggressive and innovative legal services from a new Zionsville location.
Led by local native and community leader, Carol Sparks Drake, the office will serve Boone County business owners, referring legal firms, government entities and the neighboring Indianapolis business community. Additionally, the office will offer a full range of legal services for individuals, including family law, real estate law, estate planning, civil litigation and bankruptcy.
Lewis & Kappes Director Jack Wickes says the new office will offer Boone County the kind of work product and technical support expected from a top firm, with a high level of personal attention. "While the Zionsville location has the resources and knowledge of a large firm, we maintain a commitment to bring personalized service to all cases we are involved with," Wickes said. "Clients can meet with any attorney in the firm at either location, at the client's convenience."
Wickes said choosing Drake to lead the Boone County office came easy. "She brings the best blend of first-class legal experience and an insider's understanding of the needs of Boone County businesses and individuals. She is the ideal leader for our new operation," he said.
"I've had the privilege to live in Boone County and render legal services here on behalf of families, businesses and governmental entities. It's a wonderful community in which to live and work, so I have been surprised that Indianapolis-based law firms have opened locations in Carmel and Noblesville, but overlooked our county.
I am excited that with Lewis & Kappes we will bring these expanded legal resources to Zionsville and its neighboring communities," Drake said.
Drake's professional and civic history in Boone County runs deep and includes practicing law in the region for more than 20 years, serving as the Boone County Bar Association president, as president of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce and on the board of the Community Foundation of Boone County.
Local business leaders reaffirm the firm's sound choice of leadership and location. "The county continues to experience tremendous residential and commercial growth, and with that, comes added legal needs. The community will embrace having the high-level legal service of a large firm without having to travel to downtown Indianapolis. And, having Carol at the helm is a tremendous asset. She is no stranger to Boone County, she knows the ins and outs of operating a successful legal firm and is very well-respected in our community. It seems to be a perfect fit," said Boone County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Hope Kamalabad.
